Frisco #1630 at the Illinois Railway Museum outside of Chicago. This is another 2-10-0, specifically, a Russian Decapod, that I recorded.
I recorded some dialog with the nice folks at the Aberdeen Carolina & Western Railway near Aberdeen, NC. Lionel made this model, an E8 Diesel locomotive, and it looks awesome!
This is Strasburg #90, a 2-10-0 in Whyte Notation, in Strasburg, PA that I got to record. It was CRAZY cool! - 2022
FEEED ME!! This is the fire box where they feed the coal to boil the water to create the steam to power the locomotive. It's HOT!!

This is an iPhone video that I married to pro audio. The microphone is a Shure VP-88 stereo mid-side microphone recorded into a Sound Devices MixPre-6. The mic was stationary, so you can hear the train and whistle as it passes by. The audio I use for our models is mono, but I efforted to get great stereo sounds too! Check out the echo!!

This was at the final session at Reflection. Mark Williams was the engineer and Don Dixon was the producer. I was just standing where I stood sooo many times while I worked there.
